Katie's own words

Which aspects of your role do you find most fulfilling?

"I love being a patient care advisor as it allows me to connect with individual patients, supporting them from their initial call right through to the end of their treatment journeys. I love sharing in a patient's excitement but most importantly using my knowledge to ease any uncertainty they may have in the run-up to treatment. Doing my best to ensure that my patients have a positive experience. Finally, I am fortunate enough to work with a team of caring individuals. As we all work with a collective goal of excellent healthcare. It makes for a caring and supportive work environment."

Your best memory with a patient

"One of my favourite memories with a patient is from a young woman I helped. She was very self-conscious about her body and even felt embarrassed to seek guidance. We were able to organise an all-female surgical team for her, which helped put her mind at ease. Her surgery went really well and has allowed her to feel confident again."

If there was one thing you wish everyone knew

"Everyone knows that physical health is important when seeking surgery, but it is equally important to consider your mental health when deciding on surgery. It is a big emotional commitment and it is important to consider if you feel happy and confident in your decision to move forward."

One piece of advice you would give patients looking into cosmetic surgery

"I would advise that patients take some time to reflect on their reasons for pursuing surgery, you shouldn't feel pressured by 'beauty standards', surgery is a highly personal decision that you should make for yourself without the influence of others."

Other interests

"In my spare time, I am an artist and filmmaker, my newest film is set to be screened in China."

Katie's reviews

"Fantastic service all the way through! I was booked for a breast reduction and lift - my coordinator, Katie, has been incredibly supportive the whole way through and organised absolutely everything for me. I had my procedure a fortnight ago and already feel how much my life has changed. Brilliant service all round. Thank you Medbelle!"

Tara from Northampton

"So I was scared and full of doubts. When I first spoke to Katie I knew this was the kind of person I wanted throughout my journey, she didn’t just explained me everything, she also had the best possible approach. I felt at ease and understood, not only at the beginning but throughout my whole journey!"
