Alex Baker

Mr Alex Baker is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with a particular focus on Spine Surgery. He graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in 1999 and obtained his Completion Certificate of Specialist Training in 2010. Mr Baker has previously worked at the Scottish National Paediatric Spinal Deformity Centre and the Edinburgh Trauma Unit. He has also completed fellowships in Newcastle and North America. Currently, he holds a position as a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Baker's specializations include Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery, with a particular emphasis on Spinal Surgery, Spinal Deformity Surgery, Slipped Discs, Trapped Nerves, Sciatica, Back Pain, Neck Pain, and Cervical Disc Replacement. He has undergone additional training in Spinal Fellowship and is a member of various professional organizations, including the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, the British Association for Back Pain Research, the British Orthopaedic Association, and the British Medical Association. In addition to his medical expertise, Mr Baker has a range of personal interests, including gardening, theology, DIY, sailing, skiing, and even keeping pigs and chickens.
