Mr Alex Nicholls is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist practice in hand and upper limb surgery. He graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2004 with dual degrees in Medical Science and Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic training in 2017, earning an MSc in Trauma Surgery and being awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, FRCS (Tr&Orth). Mr Nicholls has also completed prestigious specialist overseas fellowships in Cambodia, Australia, and the USA. He has been appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with locations in Winchester and Basingstoke. He is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). His areas of interest include Dupuytren’s disease, trauma, reconstruction, and deformity correction. Mr Alex Nicholls has a range of qualifications, including a MBChB from Birmingham University in 2004, a BMedSc from Birmingham University in 2001, an MSc in Trauma Surgery from Swansea University in 2014, and FRCS (Tr&Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015. He specializes in hand and wrist as well as shoulder and elbow surgery. His areas of specific interest include conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Trigger Finger, De Quervain's, Dupuytren's, Trapeziectomy, Thumb Base Arthritis, Hand & Wrist Arthritis, Hand & Wrist Fractures, Deformity Correction, Tendon Surgery, Wrist Arthroscopy, Tennis Elbow, Elbow Arthroscopy, Elbow Arthritis, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, Clavicle Fractures, Shoulder Injuries, Shoulder Arthroscopy, Shoulder Arthritis, Rotator Cuff, Shoulder Dislocation, and Keyhole Surgery.
