Currently, he holds the position of Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon at Salisbury District Hospital in the NHS. He also has affiliations with Ramsay New Hall Hospital and LycaHealth - Canary Wharf. With over 30 years of experience, David Cox has undergone extensive training and holds several qualifications. He obtained his MBBS, LRCP, and MRCS degrees in 1981 from London University, followed by an FRCS degree in 1986 from Glasgow and FRCS Ortho in 1992 from London. He is a member of various professional organizations including BASK, BESS, BOA, and BTS. He has also published articles in SAGA magazine and Salisbury Journal. In addition to his surgical practice, David Cox is actively involved in teaching and has conducted courses for General Practitioners on joint replacement, knee and shoulder surgery, and sports injuries. His sub-specialties include hip and knee surgeries, with a particular focus on knee replacements, patient-specific knee replacements, computer-navigated knee replacements, and robot-assisted knee replacements.
