Gautam Talawadekar

Mr Gautam Talawadekar is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a diverse range of qualifications and specialisations. With over 6 years of Orthopaedic training in the UK and Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow, and sports surgery in both the UK and Canada, Mr Talawadekar has developed expertise in areas such as Shoulder/Elbow/Hand surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Currently, he serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Upper Limb, Shoulder, Elbow, Hand, and Wrist surgery in the NHS. Having received training from prestigious institutions such as the University of Pune, India, and memberships with the British Shoulder and Elbow Society (BESS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), Mr Talawadekar is dedicated to excellence. He has been recognised for his exemplary work, including being awarded a Certificate of Excellence from iWantGreatCare and 'Teacher of the year' award. Additionally, his involvement in research with numerous national and international presentations and publications further showcases his commitment to the field. His areas of interest include Shoulder arthroscopy, elbow procedures, and knee arthroscopy, among others. Outside of his medical practice, Mr Talawadekar also has a passion for Indian Classical Singing, with 6 years of training and multiple on-stage performances in India and the UK. He is also actively involved in teaching, serving as faculty for multiple training courses and as an AOUK Faculty member. This well-rounded approach to his profession and personal interests reflects his commitment to continuous learning and development in various aspects of his life.
