John McMaster

John McMaster is a highly experienced Fellowship trained surgeon specialising in the treatment of fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries, such as hamstring repairs. With 11 years of expertise within the NHS at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, he has developed a strong skill set in managing multiply-injured patients and those with fractures involving various areas like the pelvis, hip, knee, foot, and ankle. Additionally, Mr McMaster excels in post-trauma secondary reconstruction, addressing issues like non-union or mal-union fractures. Mr McMaster's extensive training includes a Trauma Fellowship and notable qualifications such as an MBChB from the University of Edinburgh in 1993, a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2003, and FRCS (Trauma + Orthopaedics) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2004. In his role, he has taken on positions like Senior Editor for Adult and Paediatric Trauma Sections of the Oxford Textbook of Orthopaedics and Trauma 2nd Ed. His specialisations include trauma and orthopaedic surgery, and he offers video and telephone consultations in addition to his in-person care. Aside from his medical expertise, Mr McMaster is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others, conducting courses for General Practitioners on Orthopaedic Trauma. He holds GMC Specialist Reg in Trauma and Orthopaedics since 2005 and has received awards in Orthopaedic Trauma.
