Jonathan Luscombe

Mr Jonathan Luscombe is a highly experienced consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with over 200 joint replacements performed annually. He specializes in primary and revision hip replacements, knee replacements, and arthroscopies of the knee. Additionally, he has a keen interest in the surveillance of metal on metal implants and leads the NHS monitoring for these implants in North Worcestershire. Mr Luscombe is actively involved in medical education and research, having organized national education meetings on hip and knee replacements and serving as an educational supervisor for the West Midlands Deanery. He is also The Royal College of Surgeons representative in North Worcestershire. Mr Jonathan Luscombe holds a FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) qualification, and is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association. He obtained his MBChB degree from the University of Birmingham in 1995 and his MRCS in London in 1999. His specialties include hip and knee surgeries, video and telephone consultations. His areas of interest include hip and knee pain, osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis of the hip, rheumatoid arthritis, arthroscopy of the knee, primary and revision joint replacements, and the evaluation of metal on metal implants. In his personal life, Mr Luscombe enjoys family time and has an interest in rugby. His research interests revolve around patient outcomes and satisfaction following joint replacement surgery, as well as metal on metal joint replacements.
