Mr. Krissen Chettiar is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specializing in lower limb surgery and trauma reconstruction. He has a particular interest in hip and knee replacement and revision surgery, as well as young adult hip pathology, trauma, and enhanced recovery surgery and rehabilitation. He obtained his medical degree from St Mary's Hospital, Imperial College London, in 2000, and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Masters in Medical Law and Ethics. Mr. Chettiar has extensive experience in teaching, simulation training, research, and audit. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented his research both nationally and internationally. He has completed three Orthopaedic Fellowships, two in joint reconstruction and one in trauma, in the United Kingdom and Canada. Mr. Chettiar currently holds NHS posts at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford and Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup since 2013. In addition to his NHS work, he practices at various locations including Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Sevenoaks Medical Centre (KIMS Hospital), KIMS Hospital Limited, and Spire Alexandra Hospital. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Hip Society. His sub-specialties include hip and knee surgery, and his areas of interest include hip replacements, hip fracture management, hip pain, knee pain, and complex hip problems. Mr. Chettiar's research interests encompass a range of topics in orthopaedic surgery, including hip, knee, and revision surgery, as well as forefoot surgery and enhanced recovery and rehabilitation.
