Navjot Bhangoo

Mr Navjot Bhangoo is an experienced Consultant Knee Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital. With years of expertise in all areas of knee surgery, he holds a particular interest in sports knee injuries and joint preservation procedures. Specialising in procedures like ACL reconstruction, Partial Knee Replacements, and Total Knee replacements, Mr Bhangoo's knowledge was honed through specialised training and prestigious fellowships, including time spent with renowned experts such as Freddie Fu in the USA and Professor Jean-Noel Argenson in France. He has also completed a Sports Knee fellowship at the Royal Derby Hospital and conducted research on stem-cell technology at University College London and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore. Apart from his NHS role, Mr Bhangoo is dedicated to introducing cutting-edge techniques into his field, such as personalised computer-aided osteotomy and innovative methods for cartilage regeneration. His qualifications include an MBCHB from Birmingham in 2003, FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017, and an MSC from UCL in 2008. His sub-specialties focus on knee and sports-related issues, with a broad range of interests covering ACL reconstruction, Meniscal Tear Surgery, Knee Replacement, Minimally Invasive Knee Surgery, Meniscal transplant, and various other aspects of knee surgery.
