Nicholas Emms

Nicholas Emms is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on hip and knee surgery, specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery, including revision surgery. With years of expertise, he leads the hip and knee replacement unit at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals, serving as the lead surgeon for infection control. Mr Emms has extensive training, including a Cavendish Hip Fellowship, and has conducted research projects and presentations at various levels. He is a member of the British Hip Society and has notable publications in the field of lower limb surgery. Having obtained his MB ChB from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 1996 and being a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics, Mr Emms is well-versed in his field. He offers courses to General Practitioners upon request and focuses on areas such as knee replacement surgery, hip replacement surgery, keyhole knee surgery, orthopaedic trauma, and more. His research interests include analgesia methods following hip arthroplasty.
