Nick Kenny

Mr Kenny is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon with over 23 years of consultant practice. He studied at Manchester University Medical School and currently serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer there. Mr Kenny specialises in arthroscopic surgery to the knee, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, soft tissue injuries, and trauma. He has trained in major trauma centres in Germany and Canada and was involved in caring for the Manchester bombing victims in 2017. With a keen interest in recreational athletes, Mr Kenny dedicates himself to returning them to full function after injury. He holds four private clinics weekly at the BMI Alexandra Hospital and ensures patients can usually be seen within 48 hours. In addition to his vast experience, Mr Kenny is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He has a special interest in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, focusing on areas such as arthroscopy knee surgery, ACL injuries, meniscal repair, sports injuries, arthritis treatment, and joint replacements. Mr Kenny is actively involved in professional development, regularly attending courses and participating in audits to enhance his clinical knowledge. Furthermore, he holds several memberships in esteemed medical associations and has received awards for his contributions to the field. Aside from his medical expertise, Mr Kenny is an elite athlete who competes in long-distance high-altitude ultramarathons. His impressive list of races includes challenging routes like the Mont Blanc 90km and the Swiss Irontrail 127km, all completed with strict cut off times.
