Mr Nilesh Makwana is an experienced Foot and Ankle Consultant with over 20 years of expertise in the field. Holding NHS posts as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital in Oswestry, he specialises in a wide range of foot and ankle treatments, from Total Ankle Joint Replacement to Autologous Cartilage Transplantation. Mr Makwana also offers a tertiary referral service to surgeons across the UK and conducts revision surgery for the foot and ankle. With a background in MBBS from St George's Hospital Medical School and multiple FRCS qualifications, including FRCS Tr & Orth., Mr Nilesh Makwana is well-equipped to provide comprehensive care in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery. He is a member of various professional organisations and has published extensively on topics such as ankle fractures, talus treatment, foot loading patterns, and rock climbing-related injuries. Additionally, he offers courses to General Practitioners and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, sports injuries, and cartilage transplantation. When not busy with his NHS role and surgical tutoring in North Wales, Mr Makwana indulges in personal interests such as cycling, swimming, and working on cars.
