Rhys Thomas

Mr Rhys Thomas is an experienced Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with years of expertise in foot and ankle surgery. His NHS roles include serving as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Cardiff and Vale UHB, along with being an Honorary Senior Research Fellow and Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University. Specialising in trauma & orthopaedic surgery, Mr Thomas holds a Fellowship in Adult Foot & Ankle Surgery and is a member of renowned organisations such as the British Foot & Ankle Society and the American Foot & Ankle Society. With qualifications including an MBBS from the University of London, FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedics from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons, and a Fellowship in Sports & Exercise Medicine, Mr Rhys Thomas focuses on sub-specialising in Foot & Ankle surgeries. His areas of interest cover a wide range of conditions such as sports injuries, ankle ligament repair, ankle arthritis, and bunions. Additionally, he is actively engaged in research, currently pursuing an MD at Cardiff University focusing on ankle arthritis and sporting injuries of the ankle. In addition to his medical roles, Mr Rhys Thomas has a keen research interest in Orthopaedic and Foot & Ankle literature.
