Mr Simon Wimsey, a highly experienced Hand & Upper Limb Surgeon, graduated from Bristol University Medical School in 2000. With over 10 years of expertise, he has completed various fellowships, including AO Trauma Fellowship in Grenoble, France, and a Sports Medicine fellowship in Perth, Australia. Currently serving as a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, Harlow, Mr Wimsey specialises in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, with sub-specialities in Hand & Wrist, Shoulder & Elbow. He offers video and telephone consultations, emphasising a broad spectrum of upper limb disorders. Having obtained MRCS and FRCS (Tr&Orth) qualifications from RCSEd, Mr Wimsey is dedicated to continuous learning and research. He has authored numerous publications on orthopaedic disorders, including studies on ACL reconstruction and knee arthroplasty. His areas of interest encompass a wide range of upper limb surgeries, from carpal tunnel syndrome to joint replacements. Known for his expertise in treating complex conditions requiring nerve, tendon, and soft tissue reconstruction techniques, Mr Wimsey also provides medicolegal reports on whiplash and complex upper limb injuries.
