Mr Venkat Satish is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Swindon with extensive experience in knee, hip, and lower-limb surgery. He trained in India and the UK, completed advanced training in knee reconstruction, and served as an orthopaedic consultant in the Royal Air Force. His clinical practice includes knee replacement, sports injuries, arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, trauma care, and hip replacement surgery.

About

Mr Satish undertook his medical training at St John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and initial orthopaedic training at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He moved to the UK in 1993 and completed Specialist Registrar training in Glasgow, Leicester and Oxford, including a clinical knee fellowship and advanced training in knee reconstruction at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. He served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Royal Air Force, reaching the rank of Wing Commander and undertaking active service in Bosnia and Iraq. In June 2005, he was appointed Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon where he continues to practise. Mr Satish treats the full spectrum of knee conditions and performs primary hip replacements, trauma and fracture surgery. He has a special interest in computer-navigated knee replacement and complex knee reconstruction techniques.
