Blepharoplasty, also called eyelid surgery by many, is a procedure to improve droopy eyelids or eye bags by reducing excess skin, fat and muscle. With a more youthful and awake appearance, it boosts self-esteem and reduces your focus on age-related changes around the eyes. It can also improve your vision if impeded by your upper eyelid. But do note, for wrinkling, dark shadows and skin-folds, a facelift or brow lift procedure are better options.

It’s a procedure with immediate visual effects. With Medbelle’s hand-picked surgeons, personalised guidance, and superior Manchester clinic, you’ll be choosing the UK’s highest-rated medical provider, the perfect partner for your blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery in Manchester.

Your Belpharoplasty in Manchester

Eyelid surgery

Belpharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, takes between 60 and 120 minutes to complete usually. In most cases, it’s done on the same day using general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with sedation. In your consultation, you’ll discuss your expectation with your chosen BAAPS/BAPRAS surgeon, with advice on what to eat, drink and what medications to take before or after your surgery. You will then sign a consent form, discuss the surgery and draw some lines onto the treatment area.

Your surgery starts after the anaesthetic is administered. An incision is made into the area you’re unhappy with, correcting the upper or lower eyelids or both.

Upper blepharoplasty involves an incision in the natural crease of your upper eyelid. The scar here is very discreet and hidden in the fold of your eyelid

Lower blepharoplasty involves an incision below the lower eyelashes or inside the lower eyelid, removing fatty deposits
