About
Mr Divya Prakash is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee conditions and procedures. He routinely performs surgery related to sports injuries and arthritis. His approach is to try and preserve the joints for as long as possible while giving his patients a good quality of life. He also offers conservative treatments such as keyhole surgery and injection therapies. Alongside his NHS positions and private practice, he holds multiple roles within education and sports societies, including Honorary lecturer at the University of Birmingham, Medical Director of Worcestshire Cricket Board and British Association for Surgery of the Knee Executive. He also holds the prestigious position of a BASK Executive (British Association for Surgery of the Knee), one of the largest surgical subspecialist organisations, which brings together knee surgeons with the single aim of improving their patient’s care. In addition, he also held the rank of Lt Colonel in the British Army, retiring in 2005; his deployments included Sierra Leone, Bosnia, and Iraq.
