James Carmichael is an award-winning Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgeries and disorders of the foot and ankle. He works closely with podiatry and physiotherapy colleagues to ensure that all options for treatment are available and explored to guarantee the best results for the patient. In addition, James lectures to both national and international audiences and has recently chaired the International Bone Research Association (IBRA) advanced foot and ankle course in London, with delegates travelling from as far afield as North and South America, Australia, and Europe to attend. Alongside his NHS work and private practice, James is committed to the ongoing development of orthopaedics. He is the research lead for Orthopaedics at the North West Anglia NHS Trust.
