Jon Waite is a highly-experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee and sports injury conditions and procedures. He has trained nationally and internationally and successfully completed two training fellowships in Australia.

About

Jon Waite is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee, hip, and sports injury surgery. He is the Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic department at Warwick Hospital, where he has been a Consultant since 2007. He lectures both nationally and internationally on various aspects of knee surgery, peer reviews publications for various knee journals and is involved in research to enhance recovery after knee surgery and to improve outcomes after knee replacement. His subspecialist interest is in arthritis and sports injuries. He is an expert in partial knee replacement surgery with enhanced recovery, including medial (inner half), lateral (outer half), and patellofemoral (kneecap) replacement. He endeavours, when appropriate, to preserve knee tissue with a partial knee replacement rather than a total knee replacement. His research interests include biomechanics of joint replacements and the use of knee replacements in trauma. Patients describe him as warm, confident, and thorough.
