Mr Trikha is a highly renowned and skilled Consultant of Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery with over 20 years of experience in his field (qualified in 1997). Mr Trikha has a special interest in reconstructive knee surgery and conditions of the knee, particularly in relation to sports and active-related injuries in both adults and young adults. His expertise extends the latest surgical treatment techniques for both early and advanced knee arthritis.
Mr Trikha is extensively skilled in 'keyhole'' arthroscopic knee surgery, the surgical treatment of sports knee injuries including ligament reconstruction (ACL & PCL) and for knee meniscus (treatment for the cartilage) as well as joint preserving surgery, and joint replacement surgery total, partial or uni-compartmental knee replacement. Mr Trikha can also provide computer navigated knee replacement and now patient-specific custom made replacements, as well as offering a comprehensive specialist knee service for patella (kneecap) problems - where possible Mr Trikha tries to preserve the knee as much as possible, using other methods of rehabilitation before considering surgery.
Mr Trikha qualified from St. Georges Hospital in London and then he completed his postgraduate orthopaedic training in South East England. He then undertook Specialist Fellowship Training in Sports Knee Surgery at the prestigious North Sydney Orthopaedics Sports Medicine Centre, Australia and at the Wimbledon Clinics in the UK.
Mr Trikha is very active in research and teaching future orthopaedic surgeons. He lectures both nationally and internationally and continues to teach post graduate knee surgery to surgeons on the St. George’s Hospital Specialist Registrar training rotation.He has published and presented extensively on knee surgery, trauma and sports injuries, and joint replacement.
