Having completed his medical training at the prestigious University of Edinburgh in 2004, he has since honed his skills through intensive orthopaedic training in leading institutions across Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Northeast of England. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge has been recognised with the award of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) higher degree from The University of Edinburgh in 2011, reflecting his dedication to excellence in patient care.
Terence's pursuit of excellence led him to undertake further training in Hand, Upper Limb, and Trauma Surgery in Perth, Australia, supported by a British Orthopaedic Association grant in 2016. Since then, he has brought his expertise back to NHS Forth Valley, where he serves as a Consultant Surgeon and plays a pivotal role as the Orthopaedic Training Lead.
As Clinical Director for Research & Development at NHS Forth Valley, Terence is at the forefront of pioneering research initiatives aimed at enhancing surgical outcomes and patient experiences. His dedication to improving surgical techniques is evident in his involvement as the local Principal Investigator for several national multicentre clinical trials.
In his clinical practice, Terence specialises in treating a wide range of hand and upper limb conditions, including degenerative diseases and complex injuries. Patients can trust in his expertise to provide personalised care, tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
Outside of his professional commitments, Terence enjoys staying active and engaged in his community. Whether he's on the hockey field or volunteering as a Boys Brigade Officer, his passion for helping others shines through.
