Callum McBryde is an award-winning consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip conditions and procedures. His accolades include the highly-prestigious Robert H Sage Award 2002- Best Surgical Trainee of the Year. He is very proficient in all the clinical and surgical aspects of the specialist field of hip surgery. This includes hip preservation techniques, including all aspects of hip arthroscopy (key-hole surgery), and femoral and acetabular osteotomies (both periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) and triple pelvic osteotomy). He is also a specialist in hip resurfacing, total hip replacement and complex hip replacement. He performs hip replacement through a direct anterior approach and a posterior approach and, when required, with robotic surgery (MAKO). He also performs custom-made hip replacements and custom hip resurfacing when required. Alongside his private practice and NHS roles, he is also a medical reviewer for British Medical Journal, Bone and Joint Journal, Hip International, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.
